Launch of the Environmental Crime Project in Eastern Africa

The Environmental Crime Project (ECP) was launched in Kampala yesterday. It is a collaborative project between the ISS Nairobi and the Eastern Africa Police Chiefs Coperation Organisation (EAPCCO). The project will develop mechanisms to enhance regional law enforcement and policy making aganist environmental crimes in order to improve the protection of Eastern Africa environment.

The project will protect the environment aganist all forms of environmental crimes. It will work in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda, Seychelles, Ethiopia and Sudan.
